What we are told and what we are made to read is that 'Traffic is Key' but recent developments have shown that one can make good sums online without a single second wasted on traffic stuff. Now I know the question on your mind is HOW?

I know this is the craziest thing to think about when talking about making money online. What we are told and what we are made to read is that 'Traffic is Key' but recent developments have shown that one can make good sums online without a single second wasted on traffic stuff. Now I know the question on your mind is HOW?

Ok, I personally use Twitter. Though I'm not making big sums yet, I'm on the right track to $30 and more a day. If you are not on Twitter, then you are certainly still living in the late 90s. Hurry to Twitter.com and grab a free account.

There are TWO things you should know about Twitter:

Tweets: These are simply the posts (140 words only) you publish on your profile page. If you tweet, you are said to have updated your status

Followers: These are simply other Twitter users to whom you tweet. I personally refer to this as a Marketplace.

Lots of guys tell you build a huge list of followers so you can pull traffic to your blog or a sales page through your affiliate link. That's a great idea but let me show you another way.

You will not need your own product

You will not need a blog

You will not need to build an email list

You will not need a clickbank produck

All you need is Advertisers.

How does this work?
Simply, advertisers are people who pay you to send their messages to your followers. Generally, the more followers you have, the more money you can get from them. While some advertisers pay per tweet, some are more careful. They pay per click from specific geographical zones. So what you should be fighting now for is how to get as many followers as possible. If you have some followers already, then rush to the following adversing networks and create free accounts:

SponsoredTweets
Assertise
Ad.ly

If you have 10 accounts with each paying you $2 a day, you are already making $20 a day. You will never worry about traffic or clickbank fever. All you concentrate on is creating more accounts and having more followers, thus growing your earnings from advertisers

You may also want to know how to better organise your experience and get more followers by reading how to make money on twitter

Hi everyone, Thom Lancaster here with a special guest post here on 'Automatic Self Funding Internet Business'.

Today, I want to discuss with you the three biggest mistakes I've observed with marketers who are trying to build a list. This might be on their niche list, or an Internet marketing list.

The list in the real life-blood of any Internet Marketer. Your list is a set of people who have agreed that you can contact them at any time, contact them for any reason and that are (usually) happy to hear from you. If you have a list, you always have the opportunity to market something. This might be your own product, or an affiliate product.

So, if you are wanting to build up your list, what are these three big mistakes that you should avoid?

Mistake #1
Not providing opt-in opportunities.

Think for a minute about all the Internet real estate you own. Your blog. Your product sites. Your niche sites. Do all of these have an opt-in form showing? If not, you've a whole lot of traffic going to waste who could potentially join your list. Think about the numbers. If you have 100 first time visitors arriving at one of your sales pages every day, only a small proportion of people will buy. But others may be tempted to opt into your list for a free report. You can then continue to market the product they were considering to them, as well as all your future products. So, make sure you offer an opportunity for people to join your list wherever you can.

Mistake #2
Getting caught in the spam trap.

It's vitally important that your messages get out to the people who have opted into your list. That's why you need to use a quality autoresponder, such as AWeber or GetResponse. Those services have teams of people making sure that all e-mails sent are seen as legitimate and will actually get in front of your prospects. A side issue is to watch the quality of what you write. Don't send out anything that might be seen as spammy, either by the eyes of those reading the message (they only need to click the 'spam' button), or the automated filters that the e-mail service providers operate.

Mistake #3
Losing contact with your list

Put very simply, a list is only good if it is responsive and people recognise that they are on it. You need people to read your e-mails, maybe even look forward to your e-mails, and to go ahead and open them up. One of the key ways to do this is to send e-mails regularly to them. Even if all your e-mail does it to remind people that you exist and to ask them if they are following you on Twitter, that's another message going out to them, with a bit of personal branding. Never let more than a few days go by without sending a short message. Ideally, you should be able to e-mail them every day.

So, do go ahead and build up your mailing list if you're not already doing so. Even if you add 5 people to your list every day, over a year that 1825 people ready to be responsive to your mailings.

Hey

So everyone needs traffic, without it your site is just another site in cyber space with millions and millions of others.

However with traffic you can literally grow a HUGE online business and generate an insane online income, but the question is "how do you get traffic?"

Well you have 2 options – Paid traffic or Free Traffic

Paid traffic of course will cost you money but in most cases gets you traffic a lot faster than free methods. These include PPC, PPV, solo ads, banner ads and a few others. Many people get amazing results with paid traffic methods but like everything you have to know what you are doing, in fact if you go into paid methods blindly then you could quickly lose your entire bank balance!

Free traffic methods on the other hand often take time to yeald results, but on the plus side they cost nothing to implement and over time can bring insane amounts of traffic to your sites!! These methods include blogging, forum posting, article submissions, press releases, facebook, web 2.0 sites and there are a few more free methods.

Again though as with paid methods to implement the free methods EFFECTIVELY you need to have some knowledge on exactly how and what to do to get the results.

So where do you start?

Well you can always look to outsource the work to others but I know when starting out many people do not have the funds to outsource, in which case you need to do it yourself. So here's what I recommend, now remember not to expect instant results!!

Submitting articles has always been a favourite of many people and this is something you can get started on right away, you will need to know how to do keyword research in order to get traffic from articles but you can easily learn that.

Articles can be 300 – 500 words in length so not very long, obviously I do not know your other commitments but I'm sure most people could fit into their day writing at least 1 article per day. This can even be done in your dinner hour at work or maybe in front of the tv at night.

Just doing 1 per day can give you around 30 live article per month online all driving traffic to your site for free!!

Imagine if you have the time to write 2, 3, 4, 5 or even more articles per day!! The results will quickly become eveident my friend.

So what other free ways could you use?

Well social media sites have become HUGE online and so has video, you could join sites like Twitter, Facebook or Myspace.

Become active on those sites, build relationships with others. Remember NEVER to directly sell on social media sites (My advice anyway)

You can also get active in forums within your niche, me personally in the IM niche I love the warrior forum and when I was fully active in there I can tell you I used to get a good 1500 – 2000 visitors per month to my personal blog, all for free!

Now I did also mention video, this for many is not something they are comfortable with but yes it can provide you with a good source of free targeted traffic. Remember with video you do not have to be in front of the camera, you can do slideshow videos and record your screen. This can even be done for free if you have no money to invest by using a free tool called CamStudio.

The key to gettting results from free traffic methods is to take regular consistant action, even when you do not see instant results. The traffic will come, just keep working at it.

The only way to fail is to quit and I really mean that.

I lost thousands and thousands of dollars trying to succeed but now I live my dream life and dont have to go to work for a boss anymore, anyone can do this… All it takes is to get traffic to an offer – That's it!

I hope this has been of some help to you to get you started

I also have a free traffic gift for you actually, I recently interviewed an internet guru that makes well over $100,000 per MONTH online and got him to reveal all his secrets!!

You can claim this entire training for FREE, just click the following link -

I hear a lot of people saying that the link wheel has lost its effectiveness. From what I see, it hasn't stopped working at all. As a matter of fact, I have clients ranking in first page for moderately competitive keywords with nothing but link wheels and some social bookmarking.

Why am I not seeing any result?

The reason that you are not seeing any result could be due to any one of the following reasons:

You are in an extremely competitive niche.

You are submitting crappy content which gets deleted quickly by the web 2.0 sites.

The web 2.0 sites that you selected are NoFollow.

You are trying to simply spam the sites.

Duplicate content among all the properties

Etc etc

The problem is that the link wheels you are building don’t add value to the potential visitor. Follow some simple these guide lines and you will be amazed at the results that you achieve.

Add unique content.

Spruce up the property with relevant videos and images. See that the image has correct alt text.

Build links to the web 2.0 properties. This can be achieved by using social bookmarking; RSS feed submission, profile link building or Angela’s and Paul’s links.

Vary the order of web 2.0 sites used.

Vary the username you use to sign up with.

Do not use automated software's. I am not saying that they do not work. They do work as advertised, but the web 2.0 sites have wised up to them and are deleting posts a lot faster.

I can draw this post into something a lot longer and explain each and every step. But I want to keep it concise and hopefully drive home the point that link wheels haven’t stopped working.

Many small businesses and web entrepreneurs want to know how to use direct response videos for getting leads. In addition, video marketing can be used to brand a business, get inquiries on autopilot and to generate leads.

This is good reason to use this method of marketing. At one point in time, people used the Yellow Pages section of the phonebook to find products and services. Nowadays, people use search engines like Google to find products and services. It is very important to get your business listed in the search engines for this reason.

Videos have the ability to engage an audience more than any other type of medium. If you choose to use video marketing to advertise the business then use a unique business concept. In addition, a unique video has the potential to become a viral video. Many viewers after watching a video usually take action.

Also, video marketing can generate a lot of leads and traffic to the website. For a video marketing campaign to be effective, the video must be distributed to a large audience to generate leads for the business.

A direct response video for getting leads should be informative but interesting at the same time for the viewer. The goal is to capture the viewer attention so the viewer will listen to the video. If the viewer find the video interesting then the viewer will probably the share the video with a friend. This will lead to more visitors to your business.

The next step is using social marketing to distribute the video to your target audience. In addition, the video can be place on your business website and emailed to clients of the business. Also, the video can be submitted to websites like Facebook, Digg and Twitter to gain leads. As well as, the back links from these websites will help with the video page rankings in Google.

The video marketing campaign should be submitted to every major online video distribution service. For example, Youtube is a very popular video distribution service with a large community. It would help to submit the video at this website to gain some followers. Also, there are other video distribution websites available for submitting videos. In addition, these types of websites can be used to spy on the competition’s video. These are some of the methods that can be used to drive more traffic to a website or business.

There is video software available to help automate the process of video marketing for businesses. In addition, the video software will be able to control what the viewer sees after watching the video. The viewer can be redirected to a “Buy Now” button or to an opt-in box. Furthermore, direct response videos for getting leads allow the business to advertise 24 hours a day through video marketing.

- Target Your Market with Videos

It seems everyone is selling something today and the competition is becoming tougher and tougher. Customers want more information and perks and article marketing is just not cutting it. Your goal is to drive customers to your market, or website, and encourage them to stay and buy. Even if your goal is only to drive traffic to your website you can no longer depend on traditional methods working alone. You want something new, something innovative – something that says “Look at ME!” Video marketing is what you need.

- Why Use Video Marketing?

Videos are everywhere you look on the internet. People surfing the web are no longer content just to scan a page for the information they want. They want to “see” what’s happening. They want to be entertained – even if it is only an ad they are watching. Video marketing provides all of that.
Video promotions grab the consumer’s attention. We create quality commercial videos for whatever you are promoting. Whether you are trying to sell a product or just spread the message of what your organization does – video marketing is the way to go.

- Video Marketing – The Marketing of the Future

Being able to bring a product or service to video is easier now than ever. Computer technology allows us to create what you need. And it is the marketing tool of the future. Thousands of people everywhere are jumping on the video marketing bandwagon. Just take a peek into YouTube and you will see what we mean. When you offer your customers, or visitors, informative information in video format you are letting them know you are on the cutting edge of marketing. You do not want to wait to get in on this type of marketing. You want to lead the way.

- Targeting Today’s Market – Young People

If whatever you are marketing is intended for the younger audience then videos are a must. You can not do without them. Today’s young audience, from kids to early twenty-something – have been raised on videos. They watch movies on their iPods, they spend hours on YouTube, they expect to experience everything through the world of video. A website video allows you to target this audience in a way a simple webpage or article can’t do. One geared toward an older audience and one made just for teens. You can reach a much broader group with this type of marketing.

Not that I am advocating the use of crack cocaine, just that the instant results and gratification you get from building a a tightly targeted and niche themed fan page is analogous to crack…but in a good way… O.K. I am not good at making analogies, give me a break.

Not that I am advocating the use of crack cocaine, just that the instant results and gratification you get from building a a tightly targeted and niche themed fan page is analogous to crack…but in a good way… O.K. I am not good at making analogies, give me a break.

Facebook fan page marketing has been awesome for me. It is an easy way to build a very targeted, highly responsive list which builds on almost auto-pilot because of the viral social aspect of Facebook…

There are so many little tricks an tweaks to learn how to optimize your fan page… For example did you know that you can create a customized landing page for your Facebook fan page that mimics an HTML squeeze page complete with an aweber auto-responder opt-in form? You can, in fact there is a whole HTML-type language called FBML.. FBML stnds for "Facebook Mark-up Language"

To give you an example, here is one of my Facebook fan pages with a customized welcome page complete with an opt-in form => sample facebook fan page here

FBML is just scraping the surface of what you can do with a Facebook fan page and how you can integrate it into your marketing…

If you really want to learn how to create a killer fan page and fully utilize to it's fullest potential I can only recommend the guys over at Crowd Conversion

This guy Robert Grant and his colleague Ian David Chapman, have figured out a way to use Facebook as the ultimate marketing machine. And it’s so freaking effective it’s mind-boggling…

Mind Boggling Effectiveness <= click here

It’s crazy how well this works, especially if you’ve been forking over hundreds or thousands to the paid search monsters—or even worse, not doing anything at all because you can’t afford it.

Besides how fast and reliably this works, the most awesome thing about it is—it doesn’t COST anything to do!

Zero. Nada. Zip. As in, anybody can do this…

No-Cost Method Of Massive Traffic Generation <= click here

For example, these two geniuses put their strategies into motion for a very well-known marketer by the name of Alex Mandossian.

If you’re familiar at all with Alex, you know he has been extremely successful online—I mean the guy knows a thing or two right?

But even he was speechless when Robert and Ian’s strategies pulled in over 1,000 opt-ins in just 24-hours.

PLUS, the conversions from this method were much higher than a traditional web page.

The thing is, these tactics are like a blog on steroids (or crack cocaine) when it comes to traffic generation—and as it
works it goes viral for even MORE great results.

Plus you can easily take the next step to turn those opt-ins into money. Heck, you can make a ton of cash from this, even if you don’t have a product yet!

I really can’t do this justice trying to explain it. You need to hear from Robert himself right here…

Robert Tells You How To Do It <= click here

If I were you, I’d pay very close attention to this. Your competition will. And you don’t want to be left behind—this is changing the face of marketing in a very major way.

Talk to you again soon,

Are you guest posting to grow your blog? In this guest post, Josh Klein shares some insights on guest posting and the 5 steps to make it work for you. I (Darren) have added a few comments throughout this post also to add to the conversation. I’ll highlight/introduce these comments with a ‘From Darren:’ and in italics.

You’ve heard the blogger cliché “content is king”. It’s a lot like the real estate industry’s “location, location, location.” It turns out blogging and real estate have something in common: for both, you need content and location.

When it comes to pro blogging, thinking about location matters. There is no “build it and they will come”, and only 20% of your work is publishing posts.

By making strategic partnerships with other bloggers, you can produce content and put it in a great location, or you can get great content for the location you own, depending on which side of the partnership you are on.

Strategic partnerships can take a lot of different forms, but guest posting is the most obvious because it’s a one-off deal. There isn’t a need for a complex relationship or terms and conditions of the partnership.

In December, I wrote a guest post here at Problogger about how you need a blog strategy. Darren got a piece of unique content without having to write it (not to mention a post that now hovers between the #1 and #2 rank in Google for “blog strategy”), and I got the authority of having shared my insights, high quality links to my blog, and 200 new subscribers in a day. My earlier guest post about Digg had a similar effect.

The purpose of today’s guest post is to help you grow your blog, add to the Problogger content library, and continue to build my blog’s audience. To work, guest posting has to be beneficial for everybody involved.

From Darren: I can’t emphasize this enough. Many guest post submissions that I receive (and reject) are little more than self promotion of the guest poster filled with links to their own blog and little actual value to readers. These give me little motivation to use them and so end up in the ’sorry I can’t use this’ basket.

The best way to make a guest post pay off for YOU is to make it pay off for the reader. Write something that makes readers think – ‘I really want to read more from this person’ and they’ll check you out in droves.

You see the value in guest posting, but how do you make it all happen? It takes 5 steps:

1) Be a reader

It’s important you be familiar with the blog you approach for a guest post. At the basic level, you need to know what the blogger writes about and what kind of guest posts usually get published. More importantly, you need to look at the most successful posts of that blog, looking for hints.

I look at the format other guest posters use and which has attracted the most comments. For Problogger, the “Best of Problogger” widget on the front page gave me some key insights.

I noticed that “how to” posts dominated the all time list and list of Darren’s favorites. After a search for “how to guest post” on Problogger and Google, the topic of this guest post began to form in my head.

I visited the Guest Blogging 101 section and read Darren’s How to be a Good Guest Blogger. I saw a different angle to approach from — namely, guest posting in order to promote your blog.

I also saw something useful about a guest post about guest posting describing the self-aware process of being published. Woah, that was a mouthful.

The point is: if I wasn’t familiar with the Problogger style and audience, I wouldn’t have been able to write this post.

From Darren: The main thing I’d add to this is to consider whether the topic that you’re writing about has been covered before – or at least covered recently. This is another reason that I often reject guest posts – simply because the topic would be repeating advice given in the recent memory of readers.

I personally don’t mind topics being repeated as long as they have fresh ideas and a new perspective – but too much on the one topic can frustrate readers. To be honest when I first saw this post from Josh I almost said no for this reason as this is a topic we’ve covered a few times before – however he has covered the topic a with some fresh ideas which won me over.

2) Write the guest post

I won’t belabor the point, but it should go without saying that your guest post be worth caring about. Duh.

The interesting part about this step is where in the process it comes; before you contact the blogger.

For most of you — assuming you take the “pro” part of blogging to heart — the places you want to guest post treat their blogs as businesses. You can reach out to these blogs pitching an idea, but that just gives them an opportunity to reject you.

When you really wanted something as a kid, did you ask your parents for permission or forgiveness?

If you contact a blogger in order to guest post, send your post with the email. Don’t ask for permission, just do it. If they don’t want to publish it, you can make some modifications and send it to another blog (or publish at your own).

I finished writing this post before Darren even knew it existed.

From Darren: This is one point I differ on a little from Josh. While I do publish quality posts that are submitted before I know they’re being written – a guest poster will have an increased likelihood of success if they contact me BEFORE writing the post.

The reason for this is partly connect with point #2 above – that being that if you’re going to write a post I want it to be on a topic that has not been covered recently and that is covering a topic in a new way. My preference is to know what topics you’re working on so that I can help shape those topics to make them more useful – and also so I’m aware of how many guest posts are coming in. Quite often when someone submits a topic I’ll brainstorm with a guest poster and together we make the topic more useful, engaging and helpful to readers.

This isn’t to say that I won’t publish posts that come to me complete – however it’s not my preference.

Lastly – one of the things that many good guest posters do is to cross link within a post to previous posts on the blog you’re writing for. For example you’ll see in the section ‘be a reader’ above that Josh links to a couple of previous posts on ProBlogger. This shows he’s familiar with previously written posts on this site, adds value to the post and helps promote previously written work from this site. Some bloggers only link to their own previously written work in a post – this can be valuable to readers if on topic but more often than not a blog that you’re writing for will have great posts in its own archives that can add depth to your post.

3) Send the guest post to the blogger

Your guest post is going to be enough of a headache to read, so don’t bother writing an essay introducing yourself. The biggest concern I have with allowing guest posters for my own blog is not how nice they are, but whether or not their post is going to be kick ass. There’s only one way to find that out.

The first time I contacted Problogger I said the following:

“Hi Darren. I’d like to publish this guest post on Problogger, because I think I have a message that is both valuable to your readers and different than what they’ve been hearing elsewhere:”

Then came the guest post. Darren wrote back to say when he was publishing, and that was that. And the next guest post?

“Hi Darren – thought I’d send another guest post your way since the last one went so well. I think your readers should get something out of this one.”

Networking can be important, but don’t be shy about letting your guest post do the talking. How did I set up this one?

“Hi Darren – Here comes another guest post. You should get a kick out of this one Could be interesting for readers if you added your own comments, or even wrote a post from the other side of the conversation.”

A new twist; let’s see what happens.

From Darren: The idea that I add some comments was actually one that I’ve taken up and is a new twist on guest posts here at ProBlogger. I have actually considered doing it in previous posts but never did – I’d be interested to hear people’s reflections – do you like me chiming in like this?

One extra tidbit that I’ll throw in here on the topic of sending guest posts in. It can be really worthwhile asking the blogger what format that they’d like a post to be submitted in.

Josh sent this post to me in the body of an email with the post formatted with headings and links. This is good as it shows me how he’d intended the post to be seen. However an even more helpful way is to send me a text file with the html already set out in it so that I simply need to copy and paste the post into the backend of my blog. This saves me 5-10 minutes of reformatting the post.

Different bloggers will have different preferences with this.

Also – another bonus for me is when I get a guest post with an image in it. I love visuals and do try to add them to many guest posts that come my way but this can be time consuming. Adding an image of your own or finding a high quality Creative Commons image on Flickr and giving the link as a suggested image can really help to lift a guest post to the next level.

4) Promote the guest post

You didn’t think your job was done, did you? One of the great things about guest posts is the cross-promotion gained by leveraging both bloggers’ social networks.

The last thing you want is your guest post to be a flop, especially if it’s the first time you’ve written for the blog. Anyway, guest posting is a perfect opportunity to promote someone else and demonstrate your willingness to leave your blogging bubble. You can’t go wrong with good karma.

It bears mentioning that spam is not welcome! Promote your guest post with the same care and thoughtfulness that you would your own blog. Whenever I guest post, I make sure to tell my “regulars” through Twitter, because I know they’ll want to hear about it.

From Darren: This is an area that many guest posters don’t even think to do but which can pay off big time for both the blog you’re submitting to but also to you.

I have had a few guest posters on ProBlogger who have done some amazing things with promoting their own content. They’ve done so on sites like StumbleUpon and Digg as well as by Tweeting it, by emailing other blogs to tell them about it etc.

The beauty of doing this is that if you’re writing a guest post on a larger blog than your own that it can many times be easier to get a post to go viral on that blog as they already have social media credibility. For example here on ProBlogger most of my posts get 5-10 stumbles on StumbleUpon simply because of the numbers of readers of this site. However as a guest poster you promote the post more this number could tip the post into being promoted to the popular section of SU. This of course has a flow on effect for you as the guest poster as more and more people will be eyeballing your writing.

Of course if your post does well and the blogger you’re submitting to sees you promote your own work they’re more likely to want more content from you!

5) Stalk the comment section

Just as you should promote your guest post the way you would a post on your own blog, treat every comment on the guest post as if it were on your blog.

Every commenter took the time to read your post, and is a potential subscriber for you to win over. Respond directly and personally to the thoughtful posts, and as early and often as you can. The bigger and faster the comment section grows, the happier the blogger.

When a commenter is particularly insightful and engaging with your content, shoot him or her an email with a detailed response (or rebuttal).

As usual, put yourself in a reader’s shoes. What would most impress you in a guest poster? Now go do that.

I’ll see you in the comments below.

From Darren: Another great sign of a quality guest poster is that they’ll engage readers. On DPS we see a lot of our guest posters really engage readers by doing this and it brings the blog alive.

What do you think of guest posting?

Have you had success guest blogging? What’s your biggest concern about it? Share your best guest posting story in the comments, whether it’s an impressive chance you got at a big blog or a horror story of ruined opportunity.

From Darren: Looking forward to reading your comments also. Do also let me know about this idea of me adding to posts – does it disrupt the flow too much or add to the depth of the post by getting a 2nd perspective?

Josh Klein advises Fortune 500 companies on their web strategies and writes a web strategy blog about making websites that matter to human beings.

http://www.newsweek.com/id/106554

The Internet? Bah!

Hype alert: Why cyberspace isn't, and will never be, nirvana
By Clifford Stoll | NEWSWEEK
From the magazine issue dated Feb 27, 1995

After two decades online, I'm perplexed. It's not that I haven't had a gas of a good time on the Internet. I've met great people and even caught a hacker or two. But today, I'm uneasy about this most trendy and oversold community. Visionaries see a future of telecommuting workers, interactive libraries and multimedia classrooms. They speak of electronic town meetings and virtual communities. Commerce and business will shift from offices and malls to networks and modems. And the freedom of digital networks will make government more democratic.

Baloney. Do our computer pundits lack all common sense? The truth in no online database will replace your daily newspaper, no CD-ROM can take the place of a competent teacher and no computer network will change the way government works.

Consider today's online world. The Usenet, a worldwide bulletin board, allows anyone to post messages across the nation. Your word gets out, leapfrogging editors and publishers. Every voice can be heard cheaply and instantly. The result? Every voice is heard. The cacophany more closely resembles citizens band radio, complete with handles, harrasment, and anonymous threats. When most everyone shouts, few listen. How about electronic publishing? Try reading a book on disc. At best, it's an unpleasant chore: the myopic glow of a clunky computer replaces the friendly pages of a book. And you can't tote that laptop to the beach. Yet Nicholas Negroponte, director of the MIT Media Lab, predicts that we'll soon buy books and newspapers straight over the Intenet. Uh, sure.

What the Internet hucksters won't tell you is that the Internet is one big ocean of unedited data, without any pretense of completeness. Lacking editors, reviewers or critics, the Internet has become a wasteland of unfiltered data. You don't know what to ignore and what's worth reading. Logged onto the World Wide Web, I hunt for the date of the Battle of Trafalgar. Hundreds of files show up, and it takes 15 minutes to unravel them—one's a biography written by an eighth grader, the second is a computer game that doesn't work and the third is an image of a London monument. None answers my question, and my search is periodically interrupted by messages like, "Too many connectios, try again later."

Won't the Internet be useful in governing? Internet addicts clamor for government reports. But when Andy Spano ran for county executive in Westchester County, N.Y., he put every press release and position paper onto a bulletin board. In that affluent county, with plenty of computer companies, how many voters logged in? Fewer than 30. Not a good omen.

Point and click:
Then there are those pushing computers into schools. We're told that multimedia will make schoolwork easy and fun. Students will happily learn from animated characters while taught by expertly tailored software.Who needs teachers when you've got computer-aided education? Bah. These expensive toys are difficult to use in classrooms and require extensive teacher training. Sure, kids love videogames—but think of your own experience: can you recall even one educational filmstrip of decades past? I'll bet you remember the two or three great teachers who made a difference in your life.

Then there's cyberbusiness. We're promised instant catalog shopping—just point and click for great deals. We'll order airline tickets over the network, make restaurant reservations and negotiate sales contracts. Stores will become obselete. So how come my local mall does more business in an afternoon than the entire Internet handles in a month? Even if there were a trustworthy way to send money over the Internet—which there isn't—the network is missing a most essential ingredient of capitalism: salespeople.

What's missing from this electronic wonderland? Human contact. Discount the fawning techno-burble about virtual communities. Computers and networks isolate us from one another. A network chat line is a limp substitute for meeting friends over coffee. No interactive multimedia display comes close to the excitement of a live concert. And who'd prefer cybersex to the real thing? While the Internet beckons brightly, seductively flashing an icon of knowledge-as-power, this nonplace lures us to surrender our time on earth. A poor substitute it is, this virtual reality where frustration is legion and where—in the holy names of Education and Progress—important aspects of human interactions are relentlessly devalued.

O.K. this is a little different… I have mentioned at this blog before some powerful literature that I have had part of my library since the mid 90's or so that has truly been a major contributing factor in my life that has spun me into the world of creating a highly successful Internet Business.

That literature is called Neo-Tech and the specific text is called the Neo-Tech Discovery. The literature is still around yet it has evolved into a different more action oriented form…

Personally I am a big fan of the original text, The Neo-Tech Discovery…. Quite literally Neo-Tech is NOTHING like any other success oriented business literature. the best way to describe it is taking the principles and basic philosophical model of Objectivism as put forth by Ayn Rand the author of that seminal masterpiece Atlas Shrugged, and has evolved it to action oriented practical ways of operating your life, your mind, your health your business.

I have warned before that Neo-Tech at first blush appears to be a bit kooky to the uninitiated… But rest assured that most of the "kookiness" only seems kooky at first because it is fighting against years of negative programming of what is thought to be societal norms… Most of the kookiness is in the form of metaphors that are meant to shock your psyche into complete self awareness so you may start seeing things more clearly…

Neo-Tech has focused me in many ways and has definitely been a contributing factor in me realizing my true potential which has equated to a successful Internet Business

Neo-tech has NO dogma or doctrine… You get what you get and you don't get what you don't get from it, but there is definite value in the material to be extracted by everyone who reads and applies it… I really encourage you to Google it and read..

Below is an extracted portion of the basic explanations of some key integrations and identifications of Neo-Tech so you may get a better understanding of what Neo-Tech is… Enjoy

http://www.neo-techsociety.com/myaccount/library/zonpower/word-usage.html

Word Usage

Neo-Tech is a noun or an adjective meaning fully integrated honesty based on facts of reality. Neo-Tech creates a collection of new techniques or new technology[ 99 ] that lets one know exactly what is happening and what to do for gaining honest advantages in all situations. Neo-Tech provides the integrations in every situation to collapse the illusions, hoaxes, and all other forms of irrationality manipulated by the parasitical-elite class. …Understanding is the process of honest integration.

Mysticism is action based on dishonest irrationalities and mind-created "realities". Mysticism evokes, accepts, or uses unreal notions that create problems where none exist. Contrary to popular belief, mysticism today seldom involves god-type religions or the occult. God religions and the occult are dying forms of mysticism with fading powers to hurt the productive class. More generally, mysticism is the dishonesty that evolves from using feelings or rationalizations to generate mind-created "realities". In turn, those "realities" create unnecessary problems and unnatural destructions. Unnecessary and unnatural because the human brain cannot create reality. Instead, the brain perceives and then integrates facts of reality in order to control reality.

Thus, "reality"-creating mysticism is a perversion or disease of human consciousness. Indeed, mysticism is the destruction disease. For mysticism blocks brain integrations to erode all values. Mysticism breeds dishonesty, malevolence, and death. Hence, mysticism is suicide on all levels — on personal, family, social, and business levels; on local, national, and world levels.

Neocheating is the undetected usurpation of a livelihood — the unsuspicious swindling of money, power, or values through clever manipulations of dishonest rationalizations, non sequiturs, and mystical notions. Neocheating means new cheating for usurping values earned by others. Actually, parasitical elites have used neocheating for two millennia in hidden, unnoticeable ways. But the techniques of neocheating were not specifically identified until 1976. Thus, neocheating is a new identification rather than a new technique. Before that identification, no one could define or even notice a neocheater. Now, anyone with Neo-Tech can easily spot neocheaters and render them impotent. For, against Neo-Tech, the illusions of mysticism vanish and neocheaters become powerless. …Neocheaters are unnatural people. Some are humanoids.

* The essence of Neo-Tech is honesty and effort.

* The essence of mysticism and neocheating is hidden dishonesty and laziness.

NEO-TECH is rational. It lets one act consistently on objective facts. That approach yields beneficial emotions of happiness and love. Thus, Neo-Tech captures reality by having actions produce emotions. …Neo-Tech integrates the mind.

MYSTICISM is irrational. It lets one act arbitrarily on subjective feelings. That approach yields harmful actions and spoils beneficial emotions. Thus, mysticism loses reality by having emotions produce actions. …Mysticism disintegrates the mind.

Mysticism is the essential tool of all parasitical elites and neocheaters. But Neo-Tech will cure the disease of mysticism to end irrationality, dishonesty, neocheating, and the parasitical-elite class.

Neothink is the boundlessly wide integrations made possible by Neo-Tech eradicating irrationality. Neothink is the harnessing of Neo-Tech power here on Earth:
…Neothink out-competes all, controls all.

Integrated Thinking is the honest effort of putting information into the most accurate, widest context by logically connecting all known relevant facts. Only contextual knowledge is valid. Thus, genuine power is gained through integrated thinking, both vertical and horizontal, in the widest possible context. …Volitional choice, the essence of free will, is also the essential of effective integrated thinking and valid knowledge building.

Justice is based on objective law and integrated honesty

Ego "Justice" is based on arbitrary subjective laws and force-backed political agendas used to gain unearned livelihoods and feel false importance.

Parasitical Elites are unnatural people who dishonestly drain others. They have lost the attributes of human beings. They are humanoids who live by furtively usurping, swindling, or destroying values produced by others. To exist, they must prevent honest, integrated thinking by others. For survival, they depend on ego "justice" and force-backed political policies.

Criminal Minds: "Others owe me a living. Thus, I can live by destroying, stealing, leeching, or usurping values earned by others." …Criminal minds lay the responsibility for competitive value production onto others. Such criminal minds epitomize politicians, business quislings, also many bureaucrats, academics, clerics, news journalists, judges, and lawyers. For, their behaviors fit Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment definitive description of the criminal mind: 1) Unawareness of or contempt for individual property rights. 2) The presumption that parasites, usurpers, enviers, value destroyers, and con artists have a right to live off the productive efforts of others. …Criminal minds exist by using deception or force to live off the productive class. Survival depends on fraud-driven or force-backed value destruction. Incompetence and unhappiness result.

Virtuous Minds: " I must earn my own living. Thus, I must live through my own productive efforts. I must competitively create and produce values needed by others and society." …Such virtuous minds are the opposite of criminal minds. For, virtuous minds, by nature, respect individual property rights. Virtuous minds never need to use ego "justice", deception, fraud, or force to prosper. Survival depends on value production. Competence and happiness result.

Value Producers have business minds that benefit society. They live by creating or producing competitive values and productive jobs for others and society. They succeed by honest, integrated thinking.

Money: Is it wanted for laziness or effort? A criminal mind sees usurping money as a way to escape competitive efforts needed to produce values for others…a way to do less. A business mind sees earning money as a way to increase competitive efforts to produce ever more values and jobs…a way to do more for others and society.

Neo-Tech Minds are the powerful, mystic-free minds of the Civilization of the Universe…minds based on fully integrated honesty and justice.

Neo-Tech Business Minds easily outflank and outcompete the narrow thinking and dishonest behavior of all criminal and mystic-plagued minds.

Truth is a mushy, hydra-headed word. Everyone disputes its meaning. Truth denotes a static assertion that changes from person to person, opinion to opinion, culture to culture. Thus, truth is a hollow, manipulative word that parasitical elites promulgate to gain credibility for their deceptions, destructions, and ego "justice".

Honesty is a solid, indivisible word. No one disputes its meaning. Honesty denotes a dynamic process that is identical for every conscious being. Honesty cannot be manipulated. Therefore, parasitical elites must squelch honesty in order to live off the productive class.

Discard the Word Truth –
Uphold the Word Honesty
Discard Ego "Justice" –
Uphold Objective Law
Discard the Parasitical Class –
Uphold the Productive Class

Neo-Tech and Fully Integrated Honesty, My taboo Secret to my Awakening

There is not one single source I can attribute to my "awakening" of mind, body and spirit more than that of Neo-Tech and the concept of Fully Integrated Honesty….

Fully Integrated Honesty and Neo-Tech:

The concept of total honesty is a new technique of thinking that identifies and solves each and every problem in life through an objective approach to reality. Fully Integrated Honesty, or Neo-Tech, is not trivial knowledge. It is an incorruptible objective viewpoint of reality, which is based on the principles of Objectivism.

Operating from the only axiom that existence exists, the premise that there is one reality, that man has the potential to understand entirely, it is providing the possibility of new, infinite matrixes of objective knowledge. Fully Integrated Honesty is not at all a philosophical or esoteric dogma; rather, it is applied simply by analyzing facts and concepts in a total objective light – independent from emotions, and from established, but irrational, beliefs and social standards – to one's own best objective knowledge.

Profound honesty itself is a concept and not new; rather, it is a new explicit identification and use of this technique for maximal benefits and success. Fully Integrated Honesty often means seeing things in a new perspective. It always means to see things from an objective perspective. One conceptualizes objective facts through the integration with one's own best knowledge. This can and often does involve abandoning established or common viewpoints that sound good but are irrational. It involves abandoning religious beliefs, dogmas, authorities, and popular opinions, relying only on proven discoveries on a logical, scientific and technological level.

Amazingly, the total honesty technique has been used before by only few people, and those people were unaware of explicitly using it. Taking a look at great scientific discoverers such as Einstein, one can see that their discoveries were driven by the use of honest, independent judgment.

For example, Einstein rejected established beliefs about the mathematical system of geometry, while starting from zero – starting from what he could logically derive from self-evident axioms, that is – and identifying the flaw in established mathematics, which lead to many detailed scientific discoveries that culminated in the General Theory of Relativity. The reason why many literature related to integrated honesty is written in form of concepts or advantages is, that this is the way the human consciousness solves bigger problems – identifying and conceptualizing details, then integrating them into a bigger picture, or concept.

Aside from "Fully Integrated Honesty" another concept that is articulated well by the Neo-Tech literature is the idea of discovering your true passion by tapping into your "Friday Night Essence"…

Quite simply your "Friday Night Essence" is what you find yourself naturally doing out of pure enjoyment and excitement on a "Friday Night" usually after the dreadful and traditional 9 to 5 grind….

It's NOT happy hour at a bar….It's NOT catching up on some sleep. It's doing what you love to do which exhilarates you, which juices you, which motivates you.

Your "Friday Night Essence" is usually related to that which you loved to do as a small child, before life sucked the innocence out of you. You may have to think back real hard to remember being the small innocent child and just loving to play. That's right. Your Friday Night Essence is you playing…but now you are an adult but it is still playing…Just playing as an adult.

Ask yourself: What are you passionate about? When You were a child what did you love doing?

Successfully defining your current true passion today usually is related to what you loved doing as a child.

Turning this passion and what you loved doing as a child into a profitable, marketable, value driven business is key to have long term success, which keeps you excited and motivated.

Whatever fun and productive thing you currently do on a Friday night may point to a “passion” that can potentially turn into a value driven, marketable and profitable business that you are passionate about….This is the true power behind getting crystal clear on your "Friday Night Essence"…Tapping int your true passion

Some of the concepts provided in the Neo-Tech literature may look like common knowledge, and not worth being mentioned explicitly. However, to eliminate today's problems based on irrationality and dishonesty, which are much more widespread and intertwined within our civilization than most people realize, all irrational and dishonest viewpoints in any aspect of life and business need to be identified and rejected.

"Fully Integrated Honesty", for me, takes into account the "wide scope" or "big picture" by integrating vast amounts of knowledge to come to a conclusion…It frees your mind from the stagnated mind traps of ignorance due to a closed indoctrinated, entrenched, mind through using the concept of "Neothink"

Defining my "Friday Night Essence" got me clear on what my true passion is so I know where to focus my energies to keep myself motivated and truly happy…It helped me realize that my "work" should truly be "play"… Just play for adults though…In other words my "work" now elicits the same feelings that I had as a child when I would play and imagine and discover and pretend…

Some of the concepts in the Neo-Tech literature can seem a bit kooky at first blush…Especially by those who are completely entrenched in the uninspiring world that most have been indoctrinated into since birth…

To the faint of heart and closed minded it could elicit feelings of anger, outrage, confusion, sadness…But I assure you these feelings are only temporary and will fade away as you pull yourself from from the negative programming you have had since you were a child…We have all had negative programming to one degree or another…

Neo-tech helps you regain your self awareness through clear thinking by using "Neothink". It helps you tap into that "child of the past" when you were innocent, loved to play and were always present in the moment without a care in the world except what was happening right this second…

The Neo-Tech literature is NOT for everyone… In fact it is best that NOT everyone read it…Most are not ready for the profound honesty that it highlights. With profound honesty comes great controversy by seemingly going against "societal norms" that most of the population has been programmed to accept as "normal" from birth

Don't worry, most of the concepts within the Neo-Tech literature are just metaphors to help your mind relate and integrate powerful concepts in a ways that have the most impact and tangible results…

Neo-Tech (among other things) led to my awakening and the spinning of a whole new direction in my life that has unlocked my true potential…Not only my economical potential but my potential of my own self-actualization and to be the person I was always meant to be…

I encourage you to research this material yourself…Google it…But be prepared to be shocked and your concept of reality to be shaken…It's NOT for the faint of heart

KG

It is no denying that Frank Kern is one of the Internet Marketing greats…. He puts out quality stuff and has inspired a whole generation of young internet business owners to go on to make their own "dent in the universe" as Steve Jobs of Apple computers would say.

Even in this early interview with Frank Kern you can see the glimmer of his marketing genius and what he draws upon for inspiration…. Also even back then he already had awesome success in Internet Marketing by any objective standard.

Age: 30

Family: India (wife)—"We're expecting our first child soon. It will be great to be able to stay home with the baby and watch her grow up."

Highest Education: "I had a very brief college career, which was unsuccessful…I eventually left college because everyone I knew who had achieved wealth had not done so by using what my professors were teaching me. In fact, none of them even went to college. I also became very discouraged because I would see people with master's degrees waiting tables. I think deciding to leave college was one of my best decisions. Once I left, I had no choice but to get out there and make something happen. I couldn't fall back on the 'struggling-student' excuse anymore."

Year Started Business: 1999—"I had attempted to make it in a few other businesses before this one, but they didn't amount to much. I was simply getting by, 'treading water' without making much progress."

Type Of Business: "I currently have three 'regular' Internet businesses, a network-marketing business, and a joint venture partnership with another Internet company. It's not as complex as it sounds. My 'regular' Internet businesses are simply Websites (www.instantinternetempires.com, www.hotresponders.com, www.cashflowcircle.com) that sell informational products or provide a service to marketers. I have a network-marketing business with SFI that has really done well. SFI has totally changed the way I think about network marketing…Ever since I became involved with it, I have 'seen the light.' I'm convinced that anyone can succeed with it. In fact, I made some great videos that show exactly how I became successful in SFI."

Market: "I serve people who want to become successful on the Internet without having to learn all the 'techie stuff.' So, folks who want to succeed online and are willing to just get out there and try something are my ideal clients."

Number Of Employees: A tech support team from Workaholics4hire.com—"These people are great…so if you're ever worried about how you're going to handle customer support, just get in touch with them. They take great care of my customers and I'm really grateful for that."

Best Month (Gross Revenues): $68,000

Hours Worked Per Week During Start-Up: Easily 60+ hours—"Most of it was not needed. I just didn't know what I was doing. If only I knew then what I know now, I could have saved a lot of time and had more fun."

Hours Worked Per Week Now: Depends—"We just launched the new www.cashflowcircle.com site, so I'm putting quite a bit of time into that. But once that gets settled down, I'll try to resume my 30-hour work week."

Favorite Business Magazines: Six-Figure Income—"Mainly because they profile companies that are so different from mine and those of my niche." Also, Network Marketing Lifestyles—"In all honesty, I just like to read the ads. Any magazine I read, I focus primarily on the ads. Strange but true. Above all else, I'm a copywriter, so this is why I'm so obsessed with advertisements over articles."

Favorite Business Books Or Authors: How To Make $4,000 Per Day From Your Kitchen Table While Sitting In Your Underwear – Jeff Paul—"This is my favorite business book, because it introduced me to the power of direct-response marketing. It is an excellent example of how to get people to raise their hands and essentially say, 'Yes! I'm interested in what you're offering, and I'd love to receive ads from you.' The concept Jeff outlines in that little book is the basis with which I operate all of my businesses." Also, My Life In Advertising – Claude Hopkins—"I love it because Mr. Hopkins gives a step-by-step formula for creating powerful ads that make you money." Lastly, Multiple Streams Of Internet Income – Robert Allen—"The five or six hours I spent reading this book and applying the concept he outlines have laid a foundation for financial security that I'm very grateful for."

Relaxes By: Driving his BMW M3, hanging out with his wife, or playing tennis

Keeps In Shape By: Trying to get in three tennis matches a week—"Now if I could just win one…"

Favorite Part Of The Job: Hearing success stories from his customers—"This is, hands down, one of the greatest experiences that I'm lucky enough to have. When someone writes to me and says something like 'Thanks for sharing your information. Now I know that I don't have to spend the rest of my life in some horrible job,' I feel really good."

Least Favorite Part Of The Job: Telling people "no"—"I get frequent requests from people who want me to call them and consult with them, and I simply can't do it. It's hard to say 'No…I won't call you.' But if I agreed to all of these requests, I'd never sleep. I think I've solved the problem, however. We've started having conference calls with our members at www.CashFlowCircle.com, and that's going really well."

Companies Admired: "I'm not really familiar with the inner workings of corporate America, so I mainly focus on individual leaders in business. My favorites are Dan Kennedy, Jeff Paul, and Jonathan Mizel. I admire these men because they created enormously profitable businesses that require minimum manpower, expense, and time. I'll take that over stock figures any day."

Favorite Quotes: In your moments of decision, your destiny is shaped. – Tony Robbins; The problem is not that the Ferrari is too expensive…it is that you cannot afford it. – Jim Rohn; You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it and work for it. – E. Raymond Smith

The Person Who Most Influenced His Life: His grandfather, E. Raymond Smith–"He built an empire starting from nothing and with no formal education. And he did it by always maintaining a high level of integrity and by making sure the people he did business with were happy. The greatest thing he ever did for me was to set a standard to live up to. I'm still working on it."

Heroes: E. Raymond Smith—"He's accomplished more in 80 years than most families do in generations." Next, Claude Hopkins, for paving the way for all direct-response marketers; and his father, Frank Kern III, for teaching him to live life by his standards and no one else's—"That was easily one of the most important lessons I've ever learned."

Special Accomplishments: "My greatest achievement was the day I looked at my wife and said 'You don't have to work anymore.' That had always been a goal of mine."

Months Before Achieving A Profit: "I made a profit right from the get-go. It wasn't huge…but it was a profit nonetheless!"

Any Books, Tapes, Or Reports Authored: "I've created about 40 videos that show people exactly how I make money on the Internet. People can get them at www.cashflowcircle.com. I've also written an e-book called Magnetic Internet Power Marketing that people can get for free at www.HotResponders.com.”

Let's face it folks,… most people don't fail because they have a poor internet business idea,… most people fail because they do not have "staying power"…

In other words most people new to the internet business world fail in their business attempts because they run out of money to sustain their business, especially at the critical beginning stages of just starting out…

Let's face it folks,… most people don't fail because they have a poor internet business idea,… most people fail because they do not have "staying power"…

In other words most people new to the internet business world fail in their business attempts because they run out of money to sustain their business, especially at the critical beginning stages of just starting out…

Believe me I know I have been there, done that and I have the T-shirt to prove it.

Most people when they are starting out get so excited about their business product or idea that they have created that they just want to run right out and spend a bunch of money of Pay-Per-Click or other up front expensive advertising methods without a clue how to actually get a sustainable Return On Investment (ROI),..Again been there, done that also…

Here is what I see time and time again:

- Create an info product or application (digital or shippable)
- Selling price is $67.00
- Do some rudimentary Keyword Research
- Throw up some Pay Per Click (PPC)
- Spend $600 in PPC the first month
- Make a paltry 10 sales for a total of $670 gross
- have a net profit of $70.00
- Uh oh how do I pay for another $600 in PPC and remain profitable?
- Spend $35 in PPC (50%) of net profit
- Make 0 sales
- Net profit now $35
- Buy a nice steak dinner with that $35.00 and call it quits

OUCH!

So what is missing to help mitigate these situations for the new person just starting out?

There are numerous things that can help overcome the above scenario failure, such as:

- Knowing what is the best type of product to market and what actual market to be in that will have the best chance for success based on your knowledge, passions, interests and personality

- Knowing how to generate laser targeted traffic for pennies on the dollar

- Knowing how to write great ad copy so as to increase your conversion ratio so you get a higher ROI for every visitor you get to your site.

- Knowing how to set up the best automated systems so as to eliminate bottle necks that cause the drain on your top 2 most precious commodities,… TIME and MONEY.

Now all these things are great at increasing “staying power" and your chances for success…

In fact I know how to do most of those things in my own business consistently and even teach it sometimes to others…But the problem is most of those things have a learning curve…Some, like writing great ad copy, has a STEEP learning curve…

So what is the answer?

The answer is,… there is NO "perfect" answer and if anyone says there is they are a liar that needs to be publicly humiliated by pointing and laughing… just kidding.

Seriously with this being said though I think most people starting out need to have perceptual mental shift in how they are going to go about marketing their product or services…

What do I mean?

I mean…Don't lead with your main product and always have "back-end" products based on similar markets as your main product that you can up-sell, down-sell or offer your prospects and customers in the future…

Let's say you created an awesome shippable dog training method manual that you researched and can confidently charge at least $200 for. Now if you don't have staying power (aka lots of money) and you use the above PPC failure scenario you will be out of business just as quickly, maybe even quicker because it may be harder to sell a product on the first shot for $200 without establishing any kind of relationship or credibility

So what should you do?

Sell a $20 eBook, CD or DVD that gives "some" of the secrets that are contained in your $200 dog training. At this point after they purchased your $20 product you now have the opportunity to "back-end" your customer into buying your full $200.00 manual.

What just happened you sold a $20 product based on your main product which has established a relationship with a buying customer and has give you credibility as an authority on the dog training market to that customer…They will be more opt to purchase from you again and again on the “back-end” including your more expensive $200 Dog training manual

What's more is that 100% the gross profits from the $20 "front-end" product will go back into the advertising to create a truly self-funding business system.

In this scenario this is where you need to have the “perceptual mental shift” I spoke of…You need to drill it in your head these 2 things:

Your profit is made on the "back-end"…
All your advertising is paid for from the "front-end"

Getting clear on these 2 fundamental foundations will have you on your way to creating a truly "Automatic Self-Funding Internet Business"

Now, let your creative juices flow… If you would like to learn more about how I implement these principles in my own business just come to my site at http://SelfFundingBusiness.com

An advertisement swap or ad swap is simply an arrangement where you agree to put up someone else’s ad on your site or email newsletter in exchange for them doing the same.

The goal of an ad swap is mainly to get exposure for a specific purpose, such as selling products/services or improving awareness of your brand/site. This is different from a link exchange because you are not seeking to improve your search engine rank.

The link value doesn’t matter at all. What matters is getting visitors into your web site.

Every internet marketer knows the value of having a good list. Unfortunately list building can be quite a challenge for a lot of marketers. There are a wide variety of ways to build a list, one of the best is through ad swaps. Using ad swaps is not a widely used technique for list building which is a mistake because it is a very effective way to add subscribers. Using ad swaps for list building has the added benefit of being free of cost.

The basic idea behind ad swaps is to find other marketers with lists and have them include an ad for your list in their e-zine. Of course in exchange you will run an ad for their list in your e-zine. Finding other list builders to exchange ads with should be no problem since the benefits should be pretty obvious to them.

The reason using ad swaps for list building works so well is the same reason that using lists to make sales works. As they build up trust with their readers it becomes easier for marketers to make a sale. It is well established that most sales are made after several contacts. A recommendation from the list owner will convert far better than an opt in on a web page. Trust is essential in internet marketing and that includes list building.

You Can Swap Ads with us for one of my highly responsive lists for FREE… Sound Good?

Our ad swap system is a little unique. Please be sure to read all of the following before requesting an ad swap with us.

You can NOT use any kind of variables in your ad swap copy. The variable most ad swappers want to use is the first name of the subscriber. We do not necessarily gather the name of the subscriber. Many of our opt-in forms ask for their email address only. Our buyer list often has the company name in the name field and trying to extract a "first name" from the company name yields rather interesting results. So please do not attempt to use a variable such as "[!first-name]" in your ad copy. You also can't end your email with "[insert your name here]." Put the actual text you want to send for your email with no variables to fill in. We will end the email with our standard signature block as we always do. You don't need to close the email.

We also have deliverability issues covered for you. Please do NOT use tricks like "F.ree" or any other spammy "tricks" to try to get past spam filters. We have a very high deliverability rate and you simply don't need to use these tricks. They reflect poorly on your offer and look spammy. Even when you set up ad swaps with others, you should avoid these tricks since they are actually more likely to flag your email as spam than simply saying "Free" or whatever other word you are trying to "sneak" past the filters.

Don't be dishonest. We aren't friends. Don't imply that we are friends. My readers (and really all readers of every list) are smart and see through dishonest tactics like that. They will be far less likely to download your free offer or to buy anything from you if you are dishonest with them in your very first contact with them.

You will receive a free blog post in addition to an emailing of your offer. So write your offer as though it were both an email and a blog post. It will be. We don't expect a blog post from you in return. This is just a special bonus we offer our ad swap partners.

You don't need to worry about your list size. We currently deliver an average of 240 visitors per ad swap. If you have a list that delivers more, we will automatically run your ad swap again until we have met or exceeded the number of visitors you sent us. If your list is smaller than ours, we hope you will do the same to make things more even. Don't worry about meeting or exceeding the traffic we send you though. That will be impossible since we will forever be trying to beat each other's traffic numbers.

We have an automatic ban system in place. If you request an ad swap and then don't send your side of the ad swap, we will ban your IP, web-site, email and any other identifying information we have gathered from our system. That information will also be shared with our ad swap partners. You will have access to that information yourself after our second successful ad swap. Most ad swaps go fine, but there are people out there who try to cheat. Everyone in our ad swap group shares information about the cheaters so we can avoid getting tricked by the same cheaters.

There is no way to cancel an ad swap once you request one. Once you click the submit button, your ad swap is automatically scheduled and will go out from our side. You will be redirected to a page that has the ad copy for your list. If you don't set your side up and send it out, the system will automatically add you do our blacklist. It is important to have everything ready to go BEFORE you hit the submit button. Make sure your ad copy is correct and that you actually have the date you selected available BEFORE you hit the submit button.

We focus on buyers, not freebie seekers. The offer we will provide for you to send to your list will not be for a free report. It will be for an inexpensive (usually $10) downloadable product about the topic of this blog. If you know your readers are only freebie seekers, then you probably shouldn't request an ad swap from us. We are happy to send our readers to your offer whether it is a free report or an inexpensive special offer. That is up to you.

We are fairly loose about the topic of your ad swap. Look at this site. This site is the general topic of those on our list, but we also gather subscribes from other related sites. If you think your offer would be of interest to readers of this blog and you think your subscribers would be interested in the information on this blog, then we are open for an ad swap.

Go Here to Request the Ad Swap : => http://selffundingbusiness.com/2010/02/guest-blog-posts-being-accepted-for-a-limitied-time/

Thanks

You are probably wondering what the heck your Internet Business, goal setting and urinals in McDonalds have to do with each other? I was in a McDonalds the other morning getting my fill of some artery clogging breakfast food of a tasty bacon , egg cheese biscuit and suddenly felt the need to use the restroom…. Number 1 NOT number 2…lol

This particular McDonalds had one of those really cool enviromentally friendly waterless urinals that is supposed to save thousands of gallons of otherwise wasted water each year. One other feature I noticed about this urinal is that it had a "to scale" detailed ethched fly right in the center of the urinal about 5 inches or so above the urnial drain…I swear I had to do a double take because it actually looked like a real fly….I noticed myself naturally targeting the etched fly as I used the urinal…I got to thinking was this the purpose of the etched fly in the first place?…To give me a target?

I did a little research into the etched fly in urinals feature and I found out that there is a very specific reason why the etched fly was there. Apparently the company that came up with the etched fly idea did studies and found that public restrooms that had these urinals with the ethced flies actually stayed cleaner and smelling fresher for longer periods of time….The reason why? Because there was less urine splash outside of the urinals. Think about that for a second.

Just like I noticed my natural tendency to target the fly as I used the urinal apparently so do other men when they use the same kind of urinals. The company that came up with the fly etched urinals figured out if they gave men a "target" (the etched fly) that they would be less likely to be careless and let the unintended "spash factor" happen which tends to make things less clean and smell bad in a short period of time….

I had an epiphany…. When we set a target or set a goal the actions we take in execution to achieving that goal are a lot more focused, purpose driven, efficient and ultimately "cleaner" with a better end result. Wow…I'm a genius

Having a specific target in relation to your Internet Business is key in how successful you will be….Just aim for a target or goal that you set and things automatically have a more successful outcome…Seems like common sense but sometimes we forget the simple fundamentals…

Your "target" (ie goal) for your Internet Business can be something like what I had when I was first starting out… My Goal was if I could consistently make just 4 sales a day at least 6 days a week that I would be well on my way to at least having a 100k year just on the front end with my simple $67 Niche market DVD training product. Of course I would eventually had to reverse engineer the process on how to get to that 4 sales a day at least 6 days a week…But just focusing on that goal, that "target" of no less than a consistent 4 sales a day open the flood gates of creativity and gave me something to focus on…I'm proud to say that I surpassed that goal already…and I owe it to having a clear "Target"

Just setting the goal (ie target) for your Internet Business is more than half the battle to achieving the desired outcome….Just ask the people that came up with idea of etching flies into urinals…

Definitely something to think about

Keith

Will Smith is one of my favorite actors… I love just about every movie he was ever in…I know you are wondering what the heck does Will Smith have to do with starting an Internet Business… And fear? Believe me, it will all make sense…watch this below video…then I will explain the subject of this post…

Starting your first internet business may seem like a huge task to you….almost impossible. I mean after all, (the little voice in your head tells you) you have little knowledge , little skill, little money and who would want to listen to you or take you seriously… You have family and friends that think you are nuts that all you should do is just get a better paying J-O-B to get ahead and make money or go to or go back to college to make yourself more marketable so someone may want to pay you… I don't have anything against college or any sort of education or even having a meaningful high paying J-O-B, so please don't get me wrong. What I am against is….

…FEAR and being resigned to mediocrity because of it.

Don't NOT start an Internet Business because of fear or because someone told you that you can't or that it is "unrealistic" for you to do so…

What is "unrealistic" anyway? At one time it was "unrealistic" to think that the world was round and that the earth revolved around the sun…

What is commonly accepted as possible is constantly being expanded everyday and it is only being expanded by those who refuse to succumb to FEAR and mediocrity.

Don't ever let anyone ever tell you that you can't do something…

Now get to work and get back to building that Internet Business

Keith

Some people want to jump into "Niche Market Research" and "Keyword Research" without first defining what business market they want to enter that they know will have a higher chance of succeeding for them.

The idea of owning ones business for some people is a more emotional subjective almost romantic notion. They get caught up in what they think will make them the most money without first really digging into what will make them happy….When you are happy with what you are doing, I mean if it really juices it will NEVER be work for you.

So with this post I want to get back to basics and then build from that basic foundation…

The Essence of Business, a Refresher
•The purchase and sale of goods in an attempt to make a profit.
•The activity of providing goods and services involving financial and commercial and industrial aspects
•The principal activity in your life that you do to earn money

For Our Purpose Here:
A “Real Business” starts with YOU creating truly marketable, competitive and profitable values which people would willingly exchange money to attain the values you create to fulfill their specific needs or wants.

Now that you got the basic idea of what the basic essence of business is what business should you be in? Here are some things to ponder:

•What are you passionate about? •When You were a child what did you love doing?

•Successfully defining your current true passion today usually is related to what you loved doing as a child.

•Turning this passion and what you loved doing as a child into a profitable, marketable, value driven business is key to have long term success, which keeps you excited and motivated. •Whatever fun and productive thing you currently do on a Friday night may point to a “passion” that can potentially turn into a value driven, marketable and profitable business that you are passionate about.

•Known as your “Friday Night Essence” as defined by the Neo-Tech publishing company www.Neo-Tech.com

O.K. so the point is how does this relate to building a business from scratch? Discovering your Friday Night essence is one of the first steps. Being able to tap into your Friday Night Essence and then figuring out a way to turn it into a way to generate business values for profit will be the most successful business you can have for YOU the individual….Get it?

So discover your Friday Night Essence and then figure out how you can translate it into a profitable business…If you do you will have the foundation of a long, successful and exhilarating business that you will always love…Running such a business will be play time for you….

O.K. maybe now you have the perfect idea, for you individually, for a business that you can start and keep you excited…Now the next step is to see if it is a viable idea that will have enough demand in the marketplace. Just because you think your idea is the greatest thing since sliced bread you still have to be logical about it and recognize that you might be the only one who thinks your idea is great. You have to dig into the nitty gritty details and do some market research…

For your internet business you need to remember this…

“Market Niche” research and actual “Keyword” research are two separate things, yet the processes may be similar…

There are numerous ways to do some quick niche market research and I will go over a fairly detailed methods that have worked for me in later blog posts. But I recognize that sometimes just coming up with an idea for a product to market is sometime the toughest part.

FREE niche Market Brainstorming research tools

Hot Sellers on eBay: http://pulse.ebay.com/

Trends on Google: http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends

Google Keyword suggestion tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Free Demographics tool: http://adlab.msn.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/Default.aspx

Microsoft Adcenter labs Keyword research tools: http://adlab.msn.com/Keyword-Research.aspx

Other Microsoft adcenter labs marketing research tools: http://adlab.msn.com/alltools.aspx

SEO Book keyword suggestion tool: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/

Also just “Spy” on what other people are doing…Success leaves clues. Check out Commision Junction, ClickBank.com, and Amazon.com and find the top selling niche markets at each site.

Track consistently Running PPC ads in Google…What? Yes pay attention to the right hand side of Googles search results when you input the main keyword for your business idea. If over a 60 day period you CONSISTENTLY see certain ads for the same specific website in the top 10 PPC adwords results in the right hand side of the Google Serarch results chances are that product may give you an idea of not only what product may be successful but what actual PPC ads consistently convert well.

FREE market research methods and FREE market research tools are good and work really well. The only thing FREE tools do less of is “automation”…

Free Tools require more time and effort to get the results and information you want. That is why I also recommend some paid tools that increase the automation process and extract more precise information in a quicker and more powerful way.

The first recommended paid tool is an automated “niche market” research tool that automatically finds highly profitable under exploited niches by partly extracting and automatically doing some trend analysis from Google trends. You can find this paid tool at the below website.

Write this web address down: => www.NicheResearchTool.com

You can use the recommended tool to find ideas for highly profitable, underexploited, in-demand products and services. Just find something using this tool that you know excites you and that you will like creating, marketing or just doing…get it?

Remember, long term success in any business you choose to enter first starts with you truly loving what you are doing…If you don't love what you are doing then all you are doing is trading your J-O-B for another J-O-B but now you will be taking all the risk and financial responsibility of making it produce…

I hope you can see the importance on getting clear of defining a niche that you know that you will be passionate about…

Great article from my friends over at CopyBlogger.com about link building to build site authority and have better organic SEO results for your site

We’ve seen that the real secret to SEO Copywriting 2.0 is creating compelling content that naturally attracts links, rather than begging for links to our keyword-stuffed “optimized” web page. In other words, SEO copywriting is now all about response-oriented copy—concepts and words that ultimately result in a favorable action from the reader.

Since the popularity of our content depends on the reaction to it off-page, it makes sense that we might also need to step outside the confines of the page itself to get the word out. Luckily, the same copywriting skills you use to conceive and create your content apply to promoting it as well.

The way to create compelling content is to focus on “what’s in it for the reader.” Likewise, no one is going to link to you unless doing so gives them a benefit as well.

The key is the same—understand who you’re talking to and then figure out what will catch their attention and convince them to take action. Here are 5 ways to go about it.

1. Social Media Sites

The quickest way for an exceptional piece of content to get a lot of attention that results in secondary links is to make the home page of Digg or Delicious Popular. There are scores of similar sites that can drive quality traffic as well, such as Reddit, TechMeme, and Magnolia. For more offbeat content, Fark will shake your server. Plus there are dozens of aggregator sites such as PopURLS that also drive traffic based on your inclusion at the primary site.

If you’ve done a great job with your headline, it should magnetically draw people in. However, you need to understand the audience of each social media site. What works as a headline for Digg often won’t work for Reddit. Tweak accordingly, but try to retain your keywords in the title if at all possible, because most of the resulting links will simply regurgitate that title.

Another key element for success on Digg is the summary description, because many people will vote for content based soley on the headline and the brief copy that describes it. Sometimes this may simply be your existing opening paragraph, but you might craft a specialized description that best appeals to the culture of the site.

Submitting your own content to social media sites is looked down upon (at least with your real name), so it makes sense to have a friend submit for you. When specifically targeting a social news site, you want to control the headline and summary copy, because the exact same content submitted with poor headline and description copy may go absolutely nowhere.

2. Linking Out

Linking out to attract links? Yep.

Engaging in dialogue with the relevant blogs in your niche is a great way to get noticed, and it can lead to links back. Bloggers definitely watch who is linking to them thanks to Technorati, and you can take the initiative by linking out first before looking for one in return.

Simply linking out for the sake of linking won’t accomplish much, especially with bloggers who gets lots of links. The key is to be strategic about how you link and what your say.

It’s just like any other conversation. Join in and add your two cents, but make sure you’ve got something substantive to say that will reflect well on you. Use a great headline to make sure you are noticed, and then deliver the goods. And since your cornerstone content is the foundation of what the conversation is likely about, finding a way to mention it in the context of the dialogue will naturally bring it to the attention of influencers in your field.

3. Networking Emails

The days of flat out link begging are fading, but you can still reach out to other bloggers as a way to raise your own profile. Again, can you figure out what’s in it for them?

More than one-off link requests, networking via email and instant messaging is about establishing and growing relationships with others in the social media space. These are the linkerati—prominent bloggers in your niche, top Digg users, relevant web journalists, and influential web forum contributors.

Write your introductory emails from a copywriting perspective. Catch attention, gain interest, and create a desire to help you in the future by offering something that benefits them first.

4. Guest Posting

Another benefit of networking within your niche is that it creates opportunities to make a guest writing appearance. You can contribute content that not only allows you to raise your profile, but allows for links back to your own site. Once again, creating killer original content will open doors for you, especially when it’s created for the benefit of someone else. And you can use that killer cornerstone content you’ve already produced as an example of the quality you can deliver.

Depending on your relationship with the site owner, you may be able to link to your cornerstone content from within the body of the content itself, but only if the citation is extremely relevant to the content and beneficial to the reader. Otherwise, your link will need to appear in your byline.

Most people tend to link to their site or blog URL in the byline of contributed content. Turn it around by focusing the byline on the reader instead of yourself, and feature your cornerstone content instead of your home page.

For example, if I were to guest blog somewhere about strategies for attracting links, which byline is more attractive to the reader when finishing my article?

NO: Brian Clark writes about online copywriting at Copyblogger.

YES: Check out Brian Clark’s free SEO Copywriting 2.0 tutorial, which is all about the new style of online writing that helps your web site rank well in search engines.

Not only is that better for the reader, but it’s better for you. Your link contains keyword-rich anchor text that helps your cornerstone content rank higher.

5. Article Directories

At one point in time, submitting about 20 articles to a directory like Ezine Articles with the right anchor text would get you a really good ranking for some search terms, at least in Yahoo and MSN. However, because the engines discount duplicate content, having dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of sites republish your article (and linked byline) no longer does the trick by itself.

However, a site like Ezine Articles is still excellent for creating exposure to your cornerstone content. Having a link to your multi-part tutorial displayed on hundreds of web pages drives direct traffic, and can lead to your content being referenced in other posts and articles that do pass on link authority.

The strategy is much the same as with guest posting on a blog. Write original content that does not appear on your site, and submit to one or more reputable directories. Repeat until you get results.

Conclusion

The words you put on a web page have no life of their own until they get read. And those same words will not gain prominence in search engines until the words are linked to by relevant, authoritative sources.

Search engines can still be gamed, just like offline real-world systems can be exploited. However, the goals of the search engines are similar to society at large, and they are getting very good at finding rule breakers and dispensing punishment. Creating compelling content and beneficial relationships are strategies that won’t get you banned or penalized, and add value to your overall goal of converting site visits into revenue.

This is a step by step guide on how you can make $5,500/ month or more selling on Amazon.

What I am about to show you is a tried and tested approach to making hordes of money selling on Amazon and the best part is, you will not have to stock products.

Here is a step by step guide to maximizing profits on Amazon.

1) Choose a niche that you want to start selling in. I like to focus on niches that will sell for a decent amount. My personal price point is products that sell for $25 + and that I know will do decent sales. If you go lower than this you run into problems with your arbitrage (or buying low – selling high strategy).

So for the purpose of this exercise let's look at video games. . .

Since I know the 2nd Installment to "TransFormers" movie just came out, I am sure that video game sales will also do well. So I quickly locate the product on Amazon (here is a search link).

Now, I notice that the game seems to be listing in the Amazon marketplace for an average $59.99 (with free shipping) so I know if I am going to sell this product on Amazon, I need to be in the range of $57 – $64 (with free shipping) to capture any sales.

2) Find a seller / drop-shipper . . . After you have located your product you need to find some sources where you can buy (ideally cheaper) than you have found it on Amazon.

I like to use the Google Product Search tool.

Once we are on Google juts search for "Transformer Revenge of the fallen PS3".

Then sort for suppliers that have a 4 star rating or better. When you are using this strategy, you really can't afford to buy from some fly-by-night supplier and run the risk of them not shipping your item.

I can see using this method that there is a 4 star selling who has the game for $39.99, now our question is how much they are going to charge us for shipping?

I placed the item in my shopping cart, and went to their check out. You can see that they are charging $7 for standard shipping which will take 5 – 10 days.

So, that brings our price to $39.99 + $7 shipping (We will call it $47.00 total).

3) Make sure you will be profitable . . . Next, find a good Amazon calculator (just Google to find one of your choice).

I like the Amazon calculator at rolbe.com.

Do Reverse Amazon Fee Calculation and enter in $47 (after fees) to receive this amount. (Assume a Pro Merchant Subscription – so we can remove the $0.99).

Our sale price on Amazon has to be $56.88 to cover our fees.

This means that if we sell for $59.99 we are going to profit $3.11 on every copy we sell.

Now this is not going to make you rich by it-self, but if you do this across 50,000 products and sell just 0.05% of those products sale 1 time / month, that gives you 2500 sales . . . and at $3 / sale profit you are PROFITING a cool $7,500 / month.

Final Thoughts and Tips

One of the most appealing nuances of selling on Amazon is that all you need is a SKU number. Once you locate the SKU of the product you are going to sell you can simply enter it in and the description, image, and product information will instantly be added in.

You don't always have to shoot for the lowest price, and don't worry about being on the 3rd and 4th pages. The trick here is volume of products. By sorting and compiling a list of 50,000+ products you will have a great chance of success with this method. You don't need to be concerned about having a large list of products; Amazon.com has a lightning fast product upload system.

Remember the target is 0.05% of your products will sale at least 1 time / month, so 50,000 products would net you 2,500 sales / month.

Don't forget when you are ordering from a retail store to have them ship it as a "gift" meaning you don't want the price to show or an invoice to be sent. If you start doing considerable sales in a particular niche it will be easy to establish a working relationship with a online drop shipper.

Don't be afraid to sell items over retail and rest assured you will still do sales.

Make sure to request your money daily from Amazon as this will help your float.

These are just a few tips I have learned while researching and selling on Amazon.com.

Your comments and feedback is appreciated.
