Hello, my name is Gavin Lively and I have been banned from the Warrior Forum…

Yes, it sounds like I just introduced myself at a 12 step meeting for recovering addicts…Maybe I am a recovering addict…Maybe I am just a dirty disgusting “Forum Junkie” who needs to be thrown in detox and then go through an intensive rehab program…Maybe my banning was just the intervention I needed.

I do know the people that decided to ban me from the Warrior Forum or at least complained about me could be defined as “forum junkies” just by the shear amount posts they have at that forum which equates to a lot of wasted time poking around on a forum and NOT working on their alleged Internet Business.

If you have been living on Gilligan’s Island for the last 13 years and unaware what the Warrior Forum is you can find it by going to WarriorForum.com. The Warrior Forum is arguably the most popular and most visited Internet Marketing forum on the internet. It was founded in 1997 by Allen Says and is reported to have over 100,000 active members…. Although I doubt more than a few hundred are actually active and post to the forum with any kind of regularity.

Like so many others before me who have fallen victim to the inconsistent moderation tactics and convoluted and ever changing rules and out right blatant disdain for freedom of speech, I enter the infamous “club of the banned”.

It did not matter that I was a member in good standing for a couple of years with many quality posts under my belt and a high ratio of member thank you’s to actual number of posts…And I did not even get a temporary ban. I got the “Banned for Life” distinction and without warning…Why?

Well, officially I was accused of purposely “bumping” a thread that I started about facebook marketing. I was also accused bumping the thread for the sole purpose of "trying to promote my signature line" (see below image).

Although in reality, all I was doing was trying to respond to each and every person that posted a response to me in that thread in question. I even got a lot of praise and thanks in that thread of because of the FREE info that I contributed… So out of courtesy I thought it necessary to try to respond to everyone that responded to me…Of course I was not doing it all at once, hours at a time, in one shot…I have a life and a business to run for crying out loud…I would respond in “piece meal” as I had the time to respond… Unlike like the zealots that facilitated my banning I don’t spend hours at a time at forums… I usually just get in and get out and then respond when I can.

But because I responded to people, in the thread I started, over a period of days and not when people initially responded to me I was accused of purposely “bumping” my thread so it would consistently appear at the top of the forum and give the false impression that it was a “hot topic”… Do you follow that?

So not only do certain people hang out at the Warrior Forum waaaay to much but now there are those that spend so much time at the warrior forum, obviously not actively working on their alleged Internet Business, that they have time to try to track down and predict abusive posting patterns and then interpret what those patterns must mean and then extrapolate what the intent of the poster was who was making the post. Then these same amazing multi-taskers, who obviously don’t sleep, subjectively decide and arbitrarily act on those predictions of intent and decide to ban members based on this…

Get it?…No? Well I don’t either and I think those who ban people based on this are mostly just acting on whim because they are authority usurping zealots with an over-inflated sense of self importance as they interact on the Warrior Forum. It’s a sign of poor self esteem on the part of these individuals that act in this manner.

They appear to be the kind of people who act like they feel completely powerless in the real world and every other area of their lives so the Warrior Forum is the one place where they can try to feel a false sense of power to try to boost their fragile egos.. It kind of reminds me of the miserable souls you would deal with at your local Motor Vehicle Dept. But at least the people at the MVD you deal with face to face unlike these Warrior Forum pip squeaks that hide behind the anonymity of electrons on a computer screen…

These types of people know they have you by the short and curly’s because they were given a slight sliver of power and they in turn run with that sliver to try flex that power for no reason other than to try to make themselves seem more important then they really are in reality… It is actually kind of sad when you think of it like this…

Is that a clear picture now? So I have to say this about that….Holy Crap These people need to seriously get over themselves and do something more productive… Jeeeze Louise!

I suspect I was really banned for being a bit argumentative to those self-appointed facebook marketing gurus at the Warrior Forum that thought the content of my thread was promoting the violation of facebook TOS. These self-appointed facebook marketing “Gurus” said anything other than using facebook pay-per click or facebooks applications for marketing was a blatant violation of facebook terms of service…I politely called these self-deluded zealots on their BS and pointed out what they had was their subjective interpretation of the facebook TOS and their own opinions of what is proper, but that they certainly did not have any facts… They did not seem to like that too much.

Although after I said my piece to these zealots on my thread on the Warrior Forum they stopped responding to the thread… Good, I thought, the thread was obviously not meant for them and I was glad they were not going to continue to pollute it with their tripe…Shortly there after though, I was then banned for life without warning…

It does not take rocket scientist to figure out what transpired…I hurt someone’s feelings by calling them on their BS and instead of them trying to intelligently discuss or debate they run to the moderators and complain and then make up some BS excuse that I was purposely bumping my thread as to the reason for the ban….LOL.

What’s worse is that immediately after I was banned and no longer able to respond those same zealots swooped into the thread and started saying things like “Thank God” “See,… promoting the violation of another sites TOS is never good business” “He got banned for shilling an Affiliate link”… What little chicken shit weasels I thought…Jeeze…

Not only were they stating bold face lies for the reasons I was banned but they waited to respond and say these things after I was banned and could no longer respond to the thread…My business partner, who still has an account over at the Warrior Forum, tried to jump in and politely set the record straight but almost immediately all the posts defending me were deleted and the thread was finally locked… What is amazing is that they did not just delete the whole thread… I’m sure the reason for NOT deleting the thread was because even the moderators saw that I objectively added value to the forum with the thread and saw that no less than 7 different people in that thread thanked me for sharing…

I left the 6^th grade 24 years ago. Apparently the chicken shit whiny weazely zealots are repeating the 6^th grade for at least the 24^th time… I bet they ride the short yellow bus to school everyday as well…. Lol

So you may be thinking that I must totally hate the Warrior Forum… Well that is just it,.. I don’t. There are a lot of gems to be found on the Warrior Forum. Especially in the WSO section of the forum and the classified adds. I was constantly finding killer deals on back-link building packages and the like. Not to mention there are a lot of people at the Warrior Forum that really do share some great info for free… The problem is that few angry, low self esteem zealots seem to wreck it for a lot of people…

I am not the only one who has experienced this same type arbitrary banning. Just Google “Banned from the Warrior Forum” and you will see a whole page of results of people reporting similar experiences…

The Warrior Forum can be a real great place to contribute and learn if you don’t mind that you can be banned instantly for no reason other than speaking your mind and in the process hurting someone’s feelings.

In the end I am laughing…In fact I am laughing out loud. I am laughing out loud because I realized that now I don’t have an excuse to waste my time hanging out at the Warrior Forum because I can’t get on even if I wanted to… I have been Banned…Thank You. It’s a good thing. It actually gives me more time to actually work on my REAL Internet Business instead of throwing away my time away in that black suck hole known as the Warrior Forum.

Anyway I am sure there are a ton of people out there that have had similar experiences with the Warrior Forum…

Maybe I will start a “Banned from the Warrior Forum” facebook fan page…. LOL

Staying power with your Internet Business

Let's face it folks,… most people don't fail because they have a poor internet business idea,… most people fail because they do not have "staying power"…

In other words most people new to the internet business world fail in their business attempts because they run out of money to sustain their business, especially at the critical beginning stages of just starting out…

Believe me I know I have been there, done that and I have the T-shirt to prove it.

Most people when they are starting out get so excited about their business product or idea that they have created that they just want to run right out and spend a bunch of money of Pay-Per-Click or other up front expensive advertising methods without a clue how to actually get a sustainable Return On Investment (ROI),..Again been there, done that also…

Here is what I see time and time again:

- Create an info product or application (digital or shippable)
- Selling price is $67.00
- Do some rudimentary Keyword Research
- Throw up some Pay Per Click (PPC)
- Spend $600 in PPC the first month
- Make a paltry 10 sales for a total of $670 gross
- have a net profit of $70.00
- Uh oh how do I pay for another $600 in PPC and remain profitable?
- Spend $35 in PPC (50%) of net profit
- Make 0 sales
- Net profit now $35
- Buy a nice steak dinner with that $35.00 and call it quits

OUCH!

So what is missing to help mitigate these situations for the new person just starting out?

There are numerous things that can help overcome the above scenario failure, such as:

- Knowing what is the best type of product to market and what actual market to be in that will have the best chance for success based on your knowledge, passions, interests and personality

- Knowing how to generate laser targeted traffic for pennies on the dollar

- Knowing how to write great ad copy so as to increase your conversion ratio so you get a higher ROI for every visitor you get to your site.

- Knowing how to set up the best automated systems so as to eliminate bottle necks that cause the drain on your top 2 most precious commodities,… TIME and MONEY.

Now all these things are great at increasing “staying power" and your chances for success…

In fact I know how to do most of those things in my own business consistently and even teach it sometimes to others…But the problem is most of those things have a learning curve…Some, like writing great ad copy, has a STEEP learning curve…

So what is the answer?

The answer is,… there is NO "perfect" answer and if anyone says there is they are a liar that needs to be publicly humiliated by pointing and laughing… just kidding.

Seriously with this being said though I think most people starting out need to have perceptual mental shift in how they are going to go about marketing their product or services…

What do I mean?

I mean…Don't lead with your main product and always have "back-end" products based on similar markets as your main product that you can up-sell, down-sell or offer your prospects and customers in the future…

Let's say you created an awesome shippable dog training method manual that you researched and can confidently charge at least $200 for. Now if you don't have staying power (aka lots of money) and you use the above PPC failure scenario you will be out of business just as quickly, maybe even quicker because it may be harder to sell a product on the first shot for $200 without establishing any kind of relationship or credibility

So what should you do?

Sell a $20 eBook, CD or DVD that gives "some" of the secrets that are contained in your $200 dog training. At this point after they purchased your $20 product you now have the opportunity to "back-end" your customer into buying your full $200.00 manual.

What just happened you sold a $20 product based on your main product which has established a relationship with a buying customer and has give you credibility as an authority on the dog training market to that customer…They will be more opt to purchase from you again and again on the “back-end” including your more expensive $200 Dog training manual

What's more is that 100% the gross profits from the $20 "front-end" product will go back into the advertising to create a truly self-funding business system.

In this scenario this is where you need to have the “perceptual mental shift” I spoke of…You need to drill it in your head these 2 things:

Your profit is made on the "back-end"…
All your advertising is paid for from the "front-end"

Getting clear on these 2 fundamental foundations will have you on your way to creating a truly "Automatic Self-Funding Internet Business"

This is a step by step guide on how you can make $5,500/ month or more selling on Amazon.

What I am about to show you is a tried and tested approach to making hordes of money selling on Amazon and the best part is, you will not have to stock products.

Here is a step by step guide to maximizing profits on Amazon.

1) Choose a niche that you want to start selling in. I like to focus on niches that will sell for a decent amount. My personal price point is products that sell for $25 + and that I know will do decent sales. If you go lower than this you run into problems with your arbitrage (or buying low – selling high strategy).

So for the purpose of this exercise let's look at video games. . .

Since I know the 2nd Installment to "TransFormers" movie just came out, I am sure that video game sales will also do well. So I quickly locate the product on Amazon (here is a search link).

Now, I notice that the game seems to be listing in the Amazon marketplace for an average $59.99 (with free shipping) so I know if I am going to sell this product on Amazon, I need to be in the range of $57 – $64 (with free shipping) to capture any sales.

2) Find a seller / drop-shipper . . . After you have located your product you need to find some sources where you can buy (ideally cheaper) than you have found it on Amazon.

I like to use the Google Product Search tool.

Once we are on Google juts search for "Transformer Revenge of the fallen PS3".

Then sort for suppliers that have a 4 star rating or better. When you are using this strategy, you really can't afford to buy from some fly-by-night supplier and run the risk of them not shipping your item.

I can see using this method that there is a 4 star selling who has the game for $39.99, now our question is how much they are going to charge us for shipping?

I placed the item in my shopping cart, and went to their check out. You can see that they are charging $7 for standard shipping which will take 5 – 10 days.

So, that brings our price to $39.99 + $7 shipping (We will call it $47.00 total).

3) Make sure you will be profitable . . . Next, find a good Amazon calculator (just Google to find one of your choice).

Do Reverse Amazon Fee Calculation and enter in $47 (after fees) to receive this amount. (Assume a Pro Merchant Subscription – so we can remove the $0.99).

Our sale price on Amazon has to be $56.88 to cover our fees.

This means that if we sell for $59.99 we are going to profit $3.11 on every copy we sell.

Now this is not going to make you rich by it-self, but if you do this across 50,000 products and sell just 0.05% of those products sale 1 time / month, that gives you 2500 sales . . . and at $3 / sale profit you are PROFITING a cool $7,500 / month.

Final Thoughts and Tips

One of the most appealing nuances of selling on Amazon is that all you need is a SKU number. Once you locate the SKU of the product you are going to sell you can simply enter it in and the description, image, and product information will instantly be added in.

You don't always have to shoot for the lowest price, and don't worry about being on the 3rd and 4th pages. The trick here is volume of products. By sorting and compiling a list of 50,000+ products you will have a great chance of success with this method. You don't need to be concerned about having a large list of products; Amazon.com has a lightning fast product upload system.

Remember the target is 0.05% of your products will sale at least 1 time / month, so 50,000 products would net you 2,500 sales / month.

Don't forget when you are ordering from a retail store to have them ship it as a "gift" meaning you don't want the price to show or an invoice to be sent. If you start doing considerable sales in a particular niche it will be easy to establish a working relationship with a online drop shipper.

Don't be afraid to sell items over retail and rest assured you will still do sales.

Make sure to request your money daily from Amazon as this will help your float.

These are just a few tips I have learned while researching and selling on Amazon.com.
