Has The Link wheel Stopped Working?

0

I hear a lot of people saying that the link wheel has lost its effectiveness. From what I see, it hasn't stopped working at all. As a matter of fact, I have clients ranking in first page for moderately competitive keywords with nothing but link wheels and some social bookmarking.

Why am I not seeing any result?

The reason that you are not seeing any result could be due to any one of the following reasons:

  • You are in an extremely competitive niche.
  • You are submitting crappy content which gets deleted quickly by the web 2.0 sites.
  • The web 2.0 sites that you selected are NoFollow.
  • You are trying to simply spam the sites.
  • Duplicate content among all the properties
  • Etc etc

The problem is that the link wheels you are building don’t add value to the potential visitor. Follow some simple these guide lines and you will be amazed at the results that you achieve.

  • Add unique content.
  • Spruce up the property with relevant videos and images. See that the image has correct alt text.
  • Build links to the web 2.0 properties. This can be achieved by using social bookmarking; RSS feed submission, profile link building or Angela’s and Paul’s links.
  • Vary the order of web 2.0 sites used.
  • Vary the username you use to sign up with.
  • Do not use automated software's. I am not saying that they do not work. They do work as advertised, but the web 2.0 sites have wised up to them and are deleting posts a lot faster.

I can draw this post into something a lot longer and explain each and every step. But I want to keep it concise and hopefully drive home the point that link wheels haven’t stopped working.
